When you know, you know. I’ve never heard that statement ring more true than it does for these two. Their love and relationship is inspiring, fun, and beautiful. And for that reason, I’m incredibly stoked to shoot their wedding next year. » Expand Post

An awesome family that loves each other beyond words isn’t too hard to come by, but when you do; it’s an amazing feeling. An awesome family that loves each other beyond words and can manage to wake up and get ready in time for a beautiful sunrise session? I found them, and they’re super special. » Expand Post

Evan is a ridiculously rad kid. He is an awesome drummer, a killer skateboarder, and just an all-around cool dude. A session like this is why I love working with Seniors so much. They’re down for anything (see: walking through abandoned lots with tons of glass, nails and dirt) and in turn they get some fun photos to remember their Senior year by. And THAT, to me, is worth every second. » Expand Post

It’s 10 minutes before you’re supposed to walk down the aisle, guests are in their seats in a stunning outdoor venue overlooking a lake with some breathtaking scenery. It had rained earlier but the seats were wiped off and ready to be occupied. But then it comes again, first one drop, then two, then it starts to pick up a bit more and the recently seated guests are starting to look around for some direction on where they should head. Most brides would be freaking out at this point, I mean rain in August? Come on! But it is after all the state of Michigan and you truly never know what you’re going to get. Luckily Rebecca and Scott were one of the coolest, most fun-filled couples I’ve had the pleasure of coming in to contact with. There was rain? No problem, move those guests inside to their seats and let’s get married in the reception room. Besides, at the end of it all they were still going to spend the rest of their lives together, no matter the venue where they said their vows. » Expand Post

We battled droves of people at the Apple Orchard, we fought off the crowds in Downtown Grand Rapids during ArtPrize. But you know what? These two are something absolutely special. They love their city and they love each other with reckless abandon. And sometimes, that’s all it takes. » Expand Post

So, I’ve known Rachael basically my entire life. She’s my cousin, so that’s pretty understandable. Matt on the other hand, I met the night before their wedding. From what I could tell, Rachael was pretty dang happy to be with this guy, and I can see why. It seemed as though every second of every day he was putting her needs before his. He pulled her chair out, opened her car door, and asked how he could help. But they didn’t always have those luxuries through their dating relationship, they spent the most of their time up until their wedding 500 miles apart; Rachael living in North Carolina and Matt in New York City. » Expand Post

Meet Aliyah Gabrielle Friday. The daughter of my sister and her husband, and consequently, my niece. She’s one of the greatest joys in my family’s life and she never provides a dull moment. Getting to spend time with her is one my favorite things in the world and I think you’ll be able to see why. » Expand Post

You know that feeling you get in the pit of your stomach when you just feel that something is simply good? Where it’s all that you can do but to jump up and down with excitement because of happiness you see in someone else? Jeff and Karah are just one of those couples that put a serious smile on your face the minute you’re with them. We laughed, we drove around Ann Arbor, and we just had a genuinely good time celebrating them and the amazing love that they share. I truly cannot even wait for their wedding next June, if it’s anything like their engagement session, we’re in for some great times. » Expand Post
