Sarah :: Part One

The other morning I set out to the city of Detroit to join Sarah and her Mom for a senior session/tour around the city. Seriously guys, this family is one of the best there is, and I’ve been privileged with taking photos of all three daughters at some point in time, which is just about the best thing I could be honored with.

Sarah freaking rocked this shoot, am I right? Heck, she didn’t even bat an eye at the ridiculous locations I dragged her into. Enjoy just some of the awesome frames we made that day, and be on the lookout for part 2 in the coming weeks as I head to Kentucky to join her at the Lexington Horse Park. That’s what I call a rad senior session. » Expand Post

Evan is a ridiculously rad kid. He is an awesome drummer, a killer skateboarder, and just an all-around cool dude. A session like this is why I love working with Seniors so much. They’re down for anything (see: walking through abandoned lots with tons of glass, nails and dirt) and in turn they get some fun photos to remember their Senior year by. And THAT, to me, is worth every second. » Expand Post

She’s a Senior. And she’s pretty dang rad. I love working with people who just know how to rock the camera the second they’re in front of it. Thank you, Brittany! » Expand Post

Alexa and her Senior session were just downright awesome. That’s all there is to it. She absolutely owned her shoot, both parts! There’s so much awesomeness that I have to split the session into two blog posts! Then again, she also had two different days of shooting. But no problem, because these are some of my absolute favorite images to date and I’m so excited to share them with you! Leave her some love in the comments below and be on the lookout for part 2 coming tomorrow! » Expand Post

As I mentioned in my previous blog post, I got to spend some time in Chicago a couple of weeks ago with my family and shooting a couple of Seniors! Before I go too far, Amanda isn’t technically a Senior; but she missed out on her pictures last year and decided to make them up with me this time. We got to shoot on her college campus of Northwestern University in Evanston, IL and it was absolutely beautiful. All of the history there, along with Lake Michigan right in their backyard was amazing. Amanda was an absolute trooper, braving the cold and scaling treacherous rocks just to get the shot. » Expand Post

Makayla was my last Senior for this year (I’m sure I’ll get a couple of Class of 2011 stragglers in the spring, but we won’t give them TOO hard of a time) and it couldn’t have been more fun! We shot in an area I know well, but hadn’t spent any time shooting in before, Milford. It was one of the last “nice” weather days for the year where it was just warm enough to be manageable and happy, and we still had that nice fall lighting. I’m so happy with how these turned out!

Be on the lookout in the next couple months as I announce my Class of 2012 Senior Representative program! This is going to be a heck of a deal for a few local Seniors, and I wouldn’t want you to miss it! » Expand Post

I got to join Chris for his big Senior session, starting all the way out in Shelby Township and ending in downtown Ann Arbor! We had some great times and got to incorporate his love for football, and of course the ever-famous Graffiti Alley. Gotta love that gorgeous fall light. » Expand Post
